Abstract

In recent years the topic of exorcism has sparked growing interest, with particular focus on the figure of the exorcist priest. This contribution, however, centres on the duties and responsibilities of the Diocesan Bishop in the exorcism ministry, examining his activities in the various areas of intervention. Following a fundamental legal framework, the Bishop’s role will be analyzed in terms of preventing the extraordinary action of the Devil, discerning cases, granting the license, as well as supporting and supervising exorcistic activity.
