Abstract

In this paper, I will identify the multiple levels of the juridical sources of the deontology of canon law. I will argue that even in the absence of a deontological code for the professional work of the lawyers in the Church, it is possible to establish the existence of a hierarchical framework of juridical-deontological sources. Taken together, these sources contribute to a detailed knowledge of the content of the fundamental principles of deontology, that is, of the professional duties of lawyers in the Church.
